Work Without Borders Company has elected Mrs. Amal AL-Dajni from Al-Quds Center as an ideal employee for November 2009

We made an interview with the ideal employee in order to be closed to her and to know further information about her.

Brief biographical sketch

Name: Amal AL-Dajni

Date of Birth : 1987

Place of Birth: Jerusalem

I got a bachelor degree in Mathematics Applied to Economics at Birzeit University in 2008.

I have worked as economic researcher for Palestinian Business Forum via Al-Quds Center of the Work Without Borders. My duties are preparing economic reports and feasibility studies for projects which are suggested to be established in Jersualem.

Have you ever worked in other institutions before? Mention these institutions, please and try to mention the difference between these institutions and Work Without Borders Company?

I have never worked as en employee in any institutions before. However, I worked as a volunteer at registration and admission department at Birzeit University and as a private teacher for school students. It is the first time to work at creative and leading organization as Work Without Borders Company.

How did you know about Work Without Borders Company? Why did you go along with working at WWB?

I became acquainted with WWB over one of my acquaintance. Then, I browsed intent in order to get more information about WWB Company. The name of the company attracted me to seek a job at it. When I knew that there were vaccines at WWB, I applied for the positions immediately because I had background about WWB with its coping with development and using recent and creative means at work. Though I applied for different jobs and made interview for these jobs, I hoped to God to get the honor of work at WWB.

Could you describe your feeling when you became an employee aw WWB?

I feel a sense of proud and comfort because I am one member of its team; WWB is care for its employees, works on developing their abilities, providing them with all necessary facilities in order to accomplish missions in a comfortable environment for work.

In addition, I feel high self –confidence as a result of preparing the economic studies which may benefit my nation and develop Jerusalem economy which is subjected to Israeli violations. Furthermore, I feel that I serve the Palestinian economy through my studies and suggestions.   

What did WWB introduce to you? What do / will you offer to WWB?

WWB has provided me with elevated position in a comfortable environment as long as I dreamed of at all times. This work has achieved stability, advancement in some of my skills and acquisition new experiences. It contributes to expand my prospects and increase my practical experience in life. All of this has increased my self-confidence as I said previously; I feel that I have played a vital role in my society, considering that the human being is estimated by his/her work in a society. I will strive to do my best by utilizing needed time and effort to accomplish the required duties with high proficiency, quality and accuracy in order to develop the company and reflects shiny image over WWB Company.

As an economic researcher in Al-Quds Center, tell us about the obstacles faced you at your work, in particular Zionist pressures in Jerusalem.

I have a difficulty in finding many profitable projects to be established in the city regarding services and humanitarian projects and these projects are dominant and necessary in the city due to the critical political and economic status of Jerusalem and a large number of Israeli obstacles. On the other hand, I found all institutions, ministries, municipalities belong to Israeli entity so I have forced to search for another sources to get needed data to complete work.  I don’t meet with enough reaction from businessmen and the owners of similar projects in Jerusalem  because they do think that I may be from Israeli Taxes department which overburden them by imposing many high taxes or they don’t get used to see like this matter because of the lack of investment projects. Regardless of all difficulties, every problem has a solution and we can overcome all difficulties by determination

Every man has a goal and aspires to achieve it so what is your goal?

I want to achieve many goals and missions but the most superior goals of which is having a vital role to keep Jerusalem Arab land always and to boost its people steadfastness. My work at the company is to consider carefully the investment projects which aim at refreshing economy and providing job opportunities and achieving the social insurance.

 What is the most favorable thing which holds your admiration during your work at WWB Company?

There are many things which hold my admiration at WWB Company and I am fond of its respect to its employees, the continuous courage and reinforcement of business owners. The idea of employing new graduates and training and qualifying them is the positive point added to its several positive points for the company. The company is different from other institutions because those institutions require employees have many work experience and new graduate doesn’t have this condition.  

The Zionist closures and borders are not considered as a barrier which prevent exchanging our ideas

What do think about remote work? Do you find it effective?

Remote wok is a great idea which follows the technological development in the world of information and fast which we live in. besides, it has a privacy generally in Palestine and in  Jerusalem particularly because of the lack of job opportunities and the Zionists tries to expulse the residences. So, the idea of remote work came to keep the qualified people on Jerusalem land by providing good job opportunities for them.

Why do you think you were chosen as an ideal employee?

What I have known about the company in the two months I worked with them that it respects its employees and care for motivating them. And what I have known about myself that I was trying to master my work and output it with the required quality. But I did not expect to get this title in the current time. I thank Allah and ask him to make me always in their goodwill. It seems that getting this title is an easy task in the company which requires sincerity in work and considering it as a duty and method to achieve superior goals.     

Tell me about your ambitions? And what do you ask Work without Borders for?

I wish to complete my high studies in order to present more to the company which granted me golden chance to integrate in work market. In addition to, increase my role in the society and to present experience and benefit to a larger number of people.

Could you describe your feelings because you are chosen as an ideal employee for November inspire of being resent in Jerusalem center?

I feel of shy happiness for the appreciation of my efforts. It is a pride to me to get this satisfaction on my work which surly motivated me to do my best always and to exert efforts in my work.

Also, I thank the directors of the company and I appreciate their consideration of the employees. I wish for them progress and to achieve success always. I hope to increase the company works and to increase the number of associations which deal with it in order to realize its elevated goals.

 Work without Borders still as the mother taking care of its children by motivating them. So, let’s wait more of perfect employees in the coming months to listen to them via the ideal  employee program.
